Privacy
A liquor license application asks for more about you than most paperwork does. Here is exactly what we hold, what we refuse to hold, and when it goes.
What we never collect
Social Security numbers. Passport numbers. Immigration card numbers.
The state's form asks for all three. We do not. There is no box for them on our questionnaire, no column for them in our database, and nothing in our system that could store one if you tried.
Your package arrives with those boxes empty and marked, and the cover sheet tells you which page and which line to fill in by hand before you file. It is one more job for you and it means a breach here cannot cost you your identity.
What we do collect
Most of it is what the state's form asks for, so the list is longer than you might expect from a website.
About the business
- The legal name, the name on the sign, and the business type
- The FEIN and the Division of Corporations document number
- The premises address and the mailing address
- Phone numbers and email addresses
- Which license you chose and whether you want a temporary one
About each person with a stake in it
- Full name, title, and ownership percentage
- Date of birth
- Home address and home phone number
- Race, sex, height, weight, eye color, and hair color. These are on the state's form. We know how they read coming from a website. A package with those boxes blank is not finished, so we ask.
- The answers to the form's history questions. Whether you hold an interest in another beverage business, whether a license has been refused, revoked or suspended, whether there has been a felony conviction in fifteen years, a beverage or tobacco offense in five, or an arrest or notice to appear in fifteen. Where the answer is yes, the dates, locations, and offense types the form asks for.

What we use it for
Preparing your package. That is the whole list. We copy your answers onto the state's forms, work out your fee from your county, build your checklist from your own yes answers, and email the result to a person here who checks it before it goes to you.
We also email you about your own order: a link back to an unfinished questionnaire, a payment confirmation, and one reminder if you start and do not finish.
What we do not do with it
- We do not sell it. Not to brokers, not to lead buyers, not to anyone.
- We do not share it with other businesses for their marketing.
- We do not file anything on your behalf, so we do not send it to the state. You do that.
Who can see it
The people who prepare and check your package. Our email provider carries the messages. Stripe handles payment and we never see your card number. Our server and its backups hold the database.
Analytics
Two tools run on this site, and only on the live site:
- Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used so we can see where people get stuck.
- Ahrefs Web Analytics, which counts visits and where they came from.
Neither runs on the questionnaire pages behind the disclosure gate. Neither receives your answers.
How long we keep it
Not forever, and not as long as most companies. A daily job deletes information that is past its date.
- A finished order: 60 days after your package was generated. Then the record and the generated files are deleted.
- An unfinished questionnaire: 90 days after you started it. Longer, because people do come back to those.
Deleted means deleted. The row is removed and the files are removed. We do not anonymise it and keep it, which is a thing companies say when they mean they kept it.
Two things outlive that. Our database backups roll off on their own schedule, so a copy can survive in a backup for a short while after the live record is gone. And Stripe keeps its own payment records, because the law makes it.
Keep your own copy of your package. Once it is deleted here we cannot send it again.
What you can ask for
Email us and ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it early. We will do it. If you ask us to delete an order we have not finished, we will refund it, because we cannot prepare a package without the answers.
Children
This service is for people applying for a Florida alcohol license, and the state requires everyone named on one to be at least 21. It is not for children.
Changes
If we change this page we will change the date on it. Liquor License Prep is a document preparation service, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice.
