1. Pick your license and answer our written questionnaire
You choose your license type in the License Explorer, then work through our written questions about your business.
Plan on 20 to 40 minutes. You'll need your business details, everyone with an ownership stake, and your lease. You can stop and finish later. We email you a link.
It is longer than most forms you fill in online, and that is the point. The state asks all of it. Answering it once here beats finding out in week three that a box was blank.
2. We prepare your complete application package within 24 hours
We turn your answers into a completed state application plus the supporting documents it has to travel with, assembled in the order a reviewer expects to see them.
Every new Florida alcohol license uses the same state form, the DBPR ABT-6001. It travels with your right of occupancy, your fingerprint receipt where it applies, and three signed approvals: zoning, Department of Revenue, and health where customers drink on the premises (DBPR ABT-6001 application packet). 3. You file it and finish the state's steps with our roadmap
You submit it. We make sure everything's in the envelope. The roadmap tells you where each piece goes, in what order, and what happens after you submit.
One thing to know before you send anything: DBPR's FAQ says applications must now be filed through its online system, while the application packet still describes filing at a district office (DBPR Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco FAQ, DBPR ABT-6001 application packet). We will not quote you a number for the state's side, because Florida does not publish one. DBPR gives no processing time on its pages, and the Department of Revenue publishes none for its clearance step (Florida Department of Revenue beverage license approval). What exists instead is the temporary license: once your application is complete on its face, $100 or a quarter of the annual fee, whichever is greater, lets you start selling while you wait (Fla. Stat. 561.181).
